Originally put into orbit by the Department of Defense, these satellites were originally intended to be used for military purposes. A mid 1980 the government allowed the public to use these satellites and no high fees or subscription fees to use GPS systems.
How work?
In a very precise orbit of 24 satellites around the earth twice a day and transmit a signal to Earth. This information is taken in GPS receivers for navigation and uses a system of triangulation to calculate the user's position or GPS unit. What happens is that the GPS receiver compares the time transmitting a signal was given and the time it transmits a signal was received. This time difference tells the GPS navigation receiver how far away between it and the satellite. And then, with several measuring time differences, the GPS receiver will know be able to determine the position of the user of GPS and that the display screen. Everything is on the calendar.
For a 2D GPS receiver to work correctly, should be enclosed in at least two satellites, tactic to the movements and calculate the latitude and longitude. Using four or more satellites, the GPS receiver can determine the position of the altitude, latitude and longitude. The almanac is data contains important information about the satellite, if it is healthy or not, and the date and time. This portion of satellite data is vital importance in determining the positions. Pseudorandom data is an identification code or ID that identifies the satellite is transmitting data at what time. The account ephemeris data from GPS receivers on each satellite must be in a given day. This is also the orbital data of each satellite.
Accuracy
