The Dakota Watch Company opened its doors in 1945 and since then, gained a reputation for high-quality precision and durable products. Since then the company have grown to be one of America's largest watch retailers and in 1996 its name was changed again, this time as Dakota Watch Company.

Today, the company is managed by Albert Cooper's two sons, Martin and David Cooper, and has grown to over 200 watch stores locations across the United States (mainly in the western states).
